Miss Rhian first started dancing when she was five years old after her school teacher told her mum she wouldn't stop tapping... the floor, the table, the instruments! She learnt Ballroom and American Latin along with Freestyle as a child and she even competed in Blackpool! As she continued her formal training she studied tap, ballet, jazz, and street dance. She absolutely fell in love with Musical Theatre and gained a First Class Degree with Honours from Buckinghamshire New Uni. Since graduating she has performed professionally all over the world, and after ten years she decided to move home to Shrewsbury.

She has been lucky enough to teach, direct and choreograph for a number of companies in Shropshire. She built her own Musical Theatre company in 2017 and successfully ran Ready Steady Show for seven years. Producing a number of major productions including The Little Mermaid Jr, Moana Jr and Frozen Jr. she also become an established vocal coach and has successfully entered hundreds of students through LCM singing exams with 100% pass rate. She now runs RJ Vocal Coach where she is a Musical Theatre consultant and teaches 1:1 singing lessons.

It's really important to me to create a positive environment for children to gain experience learning about theatre and developing technique whilst feeling encouraged to reach their potential and support others."

She is thrilled to be a part of the team at Footlights and look forward to fun, engaging sessions where the students will learn through different genres of Musical Theatre the craft of singing, dancing and acting.
