Jemma Lockett
Miss Jemma can be found enthusiastically teaching our Ballet & Boogie, Tiny Tappers, Preparatory and Primary Level Ballet & Tap
Miss Jemma started dancing at the age of three and performed at the Shrewsbury Music Hall, Oakengates Theatre and at Theatre Severn She thoroughly enjoyed performing with the Ballourous Ballet company in "Nutcracker". She has loved to dance all her life as she finds it such a fabulous way to express emotion and have fun. "I decided to start teaching when I had my first daughter as she inspired me to teach my love of dance to others. One passion I get from teaching is seeing the children enjoy dance as much as I do and watching them improve each week. Both my children dance at Footlights and the friendships they have made and the skills they have learnt is so rewarding to see as a dance teacher.
We asked every Footlights team member to answer the following questions so that we can get to know the person behind the purple t-shirt!
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT TEACHING AT FOOTLIGHTS:
Teaching at Footlights isn’t just a job, it’s all about the "Footlights Family". We work together as a team producing great exam sessions, dance shows at Theatre Severn and also provide opportunities to experience great things with the team like performing on the West End stage in London and watching the children perform at dance at Disney.
