I began dance lessons when I was 4, starting with tap and modern lessons. When I was 8 years old, I started classes at Footlights and my love for dancing really grew. Some of my favourite memories from my childhood are performing and dancing with Footlights (particularly the shows at the Theatre Severn). I stayed at Footlights until I was 18, before moving to Essex to train at Performers College, gaining a degree in Musical Theatre and Dance.

My career highlights would include dancing for Becky Hill at Wembley Stadium, performing at Boardmasters Festival, spending two weeks in Jaipur, India as a dancer for a corporate event and filming for an upcoming Netflix series.

Whilst being taught by several different teachers and choreographers during my degree course, I realised what a huge impact a dance teacher can have on their students, and this sparked my interest in becoming a teacher myself. I aim to create a positive and encouraging learning environment.

There are so many aspects of dance that I love. The main one being how I can channel so many different personas through my dancing. When I’m dancing, I can choose to be whoever I want, which I find really fun and liberating. I love that being a dancer takes you to so many different places, meet different people.
We asked every Footlights team member to answer the following questions so that we can get to know the person behind the purple t-shirt!
